Start from the main entrance of Blackbird State Forest, head northeast on Blackbird Forest Rd. Continue for about 3.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn right onto Route 1 North. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit toward US-40 E/Newark. Merge onto US-40 E and continue for about 4 miles. Take the exit for I-95 N toward Wilmington. Merge onto I-95 N and continue for about 7 miles. Take exit 1B for DE-896 N toward Newark. Continue on DE-896 N for about 3.5 miles, then turn left onto Thompson Station Rd. The park office will be on your right at 750 Thompson Station Rd, Newark, DE 19711. Parking is available at the park.
