Getting There

    From the center of Townsend, head north on US-13 N/N DuPont Pkwy. Turn left onto Blackbird Landing Rd. Continue for approximately 2 miles. The Blackbird Creek Reserve parking area will be on your left. Parking is free and plentiful. Note that the canoe/kayak launch is about 250 yards from the parking area.

  • Public Transport

    The DART Route 302 bus serves Townsend. From the Summit Bridge Rd @ Pine Tree Rd stop, it's approximately a 30-minute walk (1.5 miles) to the reserve. Head east on Summit Bridge Rd, then turn right onto Blackbird Landing Rd. Follow Blackbird Landing Rd for about a mile, and the reserve entrance will be on your left. A single bus fare is $2.00.

The annual Blackbird Creek Fall Festival is held in October.
