Walking
From downtown Lewes, Savannah Beach is approximately a half-mile walk. Head east on Savannah Road towards the Delaware Bay. Continue onto Bay Avenue, and the beach will be on your left. The walk is relatively flat and takes about 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport
The Lewes Line, a seasonal transit program, has a stop at the Zwaanendael Museum along Savannah Road. From the museum, it's a short walk to Savannah Beach. The Lewes Line operates from May 22 through September 30, with rides costing $1. Alternatively, from the Lewes Transit Center, you can connect with DART's Beach Bus for service closer to the beach for $2 per trip.
Driving
From Route 1, take the Lewes exit and follow Savannah Road into Lewes. Continue on Savannah Road until you reach Bay Avenue. Turn left onto Bay Avenue, and Savannah Beach will be on your left. There is a large metered parking lot available at the beach. Parking costs $2.50 per hour from 9 AM to 8 PM, May 1st through September 30th. Payment options include quarters, credit card (with a $0.40 additional fee), cash (in metered lots only), and the ParkMobile app (with a $0.65 additional fee).
