If you are driving, start from downtown Dover. Head southeast on E Loockerman St toward S State St. Continue straight to stay on E Loockerman St for about 1.2 miles. Turn left onto S New St, then right onto Kitts Hummock Rd. The John Dickinson Plantation will be on your left at 340 Kitts Hummock Rd, Dover, DE 19901. There is parking available on-site. Be aware that there may be a small fee for parking.

To reach John Dickinson Plantation using public transportation, take a DART First State bus from the Dover Transit Center. Board Route 103 towards Kitts Hummock, and disembark at the Kitts Hummock Rd & Kitts Hummock Beach stop. From there, it is a short 0.5 mile walk to the plantation.
