Car
If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Dover, Delaware. Head south on US-13 S for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with DE-1 N. Merge onto DE-1 N and continue for approximately 9 miles. Take exit 156 for DE-72 toward Delaware City. Keep right at the fork and follow signs for DE-72 W. Continue on DE-72 W for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Wilmington Ave. Turn left onto Wilmington Ave and follow it until you reach Fort DuPont State Park, located on your left. Parking is available at the park entrance.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking the DART First State bus service from Dover to Wilmington. You can take Route 301 from the Dover Transit Center to Wilmington. From the Wilmington bus terminal, transfer to Route 25 towards Delaware City. Once you arrive in Delaware City, you can take a taxi or rideshare service for the final stretch to Fort DuPont State Park, which is approximately 3 miles away. It's advisable to check the DART schedule for the most current routes and times.
