From Cape May City, head north on Route 9. Turn left onto Route 626 (Bayshore Road). Cross the bridge and turn right onto New England Road. Follow New England Road until it dead-ends at the Higbee Beach parking lot. Parking is free , but limited, especially during peak season. Additional parking is available along the dirt road leading to the lot.

From the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal, Higbee Beach is accessible via a walk along New England Road. Follow the road north, crossing the Cape May Canal. Continue on New England Road until you reach the Higbee Beach parking area and beach entrance. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles. There are no fees for accessing the beach.
