If you're starting from downtown Lewes, head south on Second Street towards the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. Once you reach the canal, turn left and walk along the scenic path that runs parallel to the water. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Savannah Road. Cross Savannah Road carefully, and continue walking straight on the path that will lead you through the residential area. After approximately 0.8 miles, you will reach the entrance to Great Marsh Preserve on your right at 1 Great Marsh Cir. The preserve is accessible via a short walking trail.

For those who prefer biking, start from downtown Lewes and head south towards the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. Follow the bike path along the canal for about 0.5 miles. When you reach Savannah Road, use the bike lane to cross, then continue straight on the path. After about 0.8 miles, you will see the entrance to Great Marsh Preserve on your right at 1 Great Marsh Cir. There is a bike rack available near the entrance.

While there is no direct bus service to Great Marsh Preserve, you can take the DART bus from downtown Lewes to the nearest stop. Board the DART Route 204 bus towards Rehoboth Beach.
