If you are starting from the Lewes Beach area, head northwest on Savannah Road toward the intersection with Second Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles. As you reach the intersection with Cape Henlopen Drive, turn left. The Lewes Historic Sign will be on your left side near the entrance to the Lewes Historical Society.

If you have a bike, you can start from the Lewes Canalfront Park. Exit the park and head southeast on the bike path along the canal. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Second Street. Turn right onto Second Street and continue for about 0.3 miles. Then, turn left onto Cape Henlopen Drive, and you will find the Lewes Historic Sign on your left.

If you are using the DART bus service, find the nearest bus stop on Savannah Road. Take the bus that heads toward the Lewes Transit Center. From there, walk north on Second Street for about 0.4 miles until you reach Cape Henlopen Drive. Turn left, and the Lewes Historic Sign will be on your left side.
