Car
If you are traveling by car from the main entrance of Lums Pond State Park, head southwest on Lums Pond Road toward Buck Jersey Road. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn left onto Buck Jersey Road. Continue driving for about 1 mile until you reach the address 587 Buck Jersey Rd, Bear, DE 19701, which is the location of Lums Pond Area 5. Look for the parking area on the right side of the road. Note that parking may incur a fee; be sure to have cash or a card ready for payment.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a DART First State bus (Route 64) towards Bear. Get off at the nearest stop to Lums Pond State Park. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Lums Pond Area 5. Head east on Lums Pond Road, then turn left onto Buck Jersey Road. Continue on Buck Jersey Road until you arrive at 587 Buck Jersey Rd, Bear, DE 19701. Be prepared for a walk, and consider the weather conditions.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from a nearby location or bring your own. From the main park area, take Lums Pond Road towards Buck Jersey Road, then turn left onto Buck Jersey Road. The distance is around 1.5 miles, and you will find Lums Pond Area 5 at 587 Buck Jersey Rd, Bear, DE 19701. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules while cycling.
Walking
