Walking
From the center of Middletown, head south on Main Street towards the intersection with Route 299. Continue straight onto Route 299 (also called West Main Street) for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9. At this intersection, turn left onto Route 9 (South) and continue for about 7 miles. You will pass through several small communities along the way. As you approach New Castle, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Battery Park. When you reach New Castle, turn right onto Delaware Street (the park is located at the end of this street). Battery Park will be on your left at 1 Delaware St.

From Middletown, you can take the DART First State bus service. Board the bus that goes towards Wilmington (check the schedule for exact routes and times). Get off at the New Castle stop. Once you disembark, walk east along Delaware Street for about 0.5 miles, and you will find Battery Park on your left at 1 Delaware St.
