Walking
From the New Castle Visitor Center at The Arsenal, walk south on Delaware Street towards the river. Battery Park will be on your left, offering immediate access to the waterfront and walking paths. This is a short, direct walk within the historic district.
Public Transport
From Wilmington, take DART First State bus route 15 to the intersection of 6th Street and Delaware Street in New Castle. From there, walk south on Delaware Street for a few blocks until you reach Battery Park on your left. A single ride on DART is approximately $1 - $3. This route provides access from the wider New Castle County area.
Driving
From I-95, take Route 141 (Basin Road, which becomes Washington Street) east until it dead-ends at 7th Street. Turn left, then right onto South Street. Continue on South Street past 5th Street; the parking lot for Battery Park will be on your right. Parking is free throughout New Castle. Additional parking is available at 27 W. 3rd St near Battery Park.
