Public Transit
From downtown Wilmington, head to the nearest bus stop and take the DART First State bus number 11 towards New Castle. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the stop near the intersection of Route 13 and Route 40. From there, you will see the Welcome to Delaware Sign located just a short walk away at the Colonial School District entrance. Follow the pedestrian pathways, and feel free to ask locals for further directions if needed.
Walking
If you're near the Wilmington Riverfront, you can walk to the Welcome to Delaware Sign. Start on the Riverwalk heading north, then take a left onto N. Market Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Route 13. Cross the street safely, and you will find the Welcome to Delaware Sign at the Colonial School District entrance a short distance away.
Bicycle
For those with bicycles, begin at the Wilmington Riverfront and take the Riverwalk bike path heading north. Turn left onto N. Market Street and continue until you reach Route 13. Use the bike lane to safely cross, and upon reaching the Colonial School District, you will find the Welcome to Delaware Sign at the entrance. There are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.
