Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Milford, head east on Walnut Street towards N Washington Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 14 (NE Front St). Turn left onto Route 14 and continue walking for about 1 mile. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. After 1 mile, turn right onto Abbotts Pond Road. The Abbott's Mill Nature Center will be on your left after about 0.6 miles, at 15411 Abbotts Pond Rd. Look for the sign marking the entrance to the Nature Center.

  • Biking

    Starting from downtown Milford, take the Mispillion Riverwalk heading east. Follow the path until you reach the Mispillion River. Continue along the riverbank, which will lead you towards the main road. When you reach the intersection with Route 14 (NE Front St), turn left and bike along the shoulder for approximately 1 mile. After that, turn right onto Abbotts Pond Road, and continue biking for about 0.6 miles until you see Abbott's Mill Nature Center on your left.

    From the Milford Bus Station located on S Washington Street, take the DART First State bus route that heads towards Harrington. Request to get off at the stop near the intersection of Route 14 and Abbotts Pond Road. Once you get off the bus, walk about 0.6 miles down Abbotts Pond Road; Abbott's Mill Nature Center will be on your left at 15411 Abbotts Pond Rd. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for the latest timings.
