Walking
If you are in downtown Milford, start at the Milford Public Library located at 101 East Walnut Street. Head south on Walnut Street until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left (east) onto Route 1 and walk towards the southern edge of the town. Continue along the sidewalk until you reach the junction with Lighthouse Road. Turn right onto Lighthouse Road. Follow Lighthouse Road for about 2.5 miles. The DuPont Nature Center will be on your right at 2992 Lighthouse Rd, Milford, DE.

Biking
From downtown Milford, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Begin your ride from the Milford Public Library and cycle south on Walnut Street. When you reach Route 1, turn left (east) and bike along the shoulder of Route 1. After approximately 2 miles, you will reach Lighthouse Road. Turn right onto Lighthouse Road and continue to bike for about 0.5 miles. The DuPont Nature Center will be located on your right at 2992 Lighthouse Rd.

Currently, there is no direct public transit service to the DuPont Nature Center. However, you can take DART First State Bus Route 204 from downtown Milford to the nearest stop at Route 1 and Lighthouse Road. From the bus stop, it is about a 0.5-mile walk along Lighthouse Road to the DuPont Nature Center, which is located at 2992 Lighthouse Rd. Be sure to check the DART schedule for bus times.
