    Walking

    From downtown Newark, begin at the Main Street Bridge and head east on East Main Street towards South College Avenue. Continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with South College Avenue. Turn right onto South College Avenue and walk for 0.3 miles. After you pass the University of Delaware, look for signs to Iron Hill Science Center. Turn left onto Robert L. Melson Lane, where you will find Iron Hill Science Center. There is no fee for walking.

    Public Transport

    From downtown Newark, walk to the nearest bus stop on East Main Street. Take the DART First State Bus Route 1 towards the Christiana Mall. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop for New London Road and Robert L. Melson Lane. Walk south on Robert L. Melson Lane for about 0.2 miles to reach the Iron Hill Science Center. A single ride on DART First State Bus is $2.00.

    Personal Vehicle

    The Iron Hill Science Center is located at 1115 Robert L. Melson Ln, Newark, DE 19702. From I-95, take Exit 4B onto DE-896 N/S College Ave. Continue on S College Ave, then turn right onto Old Baltimore Pike. Turn left onto Robert L. Melson Ln. The Science Center will be on your left. Parking is available at the Iron Hill Science Center. Parking is free.

    The Iron Hill Science Center, operated by the Delaware Academy of Science, is dedicated to providing education in natural history and nature science. Located in Newark, Delaware, the center features exhibits encompassing a wide range of scientific disciplines, including entomology (insects), paleontology (fossils), geology (earth processes with a focus on rocks and minerals), zoology (collection of taxidermy ranges from mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and fish), and botany (plants).
