The Old State House is located on The Green in downtown Dover, making it easily accessible on foot from nearby attractions, hotels, and parking areas. From anywhere on The Green, head towards 25 The Green; the building is well-marked and a short walk from most downtown locations. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
The closest DART First State bus stop is near the intersection of Route 8 and The Green. Check the DART First State website for the latest bus schedules and route information. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to The Old State House at 25 The Green. DART First State bus fares typically range from $2 to $4 for a day pass.
Car
If driving, navigate to The Green in Dover, DE. From Route 1, take Exit 104 for Route 8 toward Dover. Continue on Route 8 (Division Street) until you reach The Green. The Old State House is located at 25 The Green. Free, but limited, street parking is available in front of, and around, the State House. There is also free parking on Weekdays 5pm through 7am, and all day/night on weekends. Metered parking is available and enforced Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Daily parking is made by using the ParkMobile app.
