Walking
If you are starting from the Wilmington Riverwalk, head south towards the intersection with South Market Street. Turn left onto South Market Street and continue until you reach the intersection with East 4th Street. Turn right onto East 4th Street and walk until you reach the intersection with North Walnut Street. Turn left onto North Walnut Street and continue walking until you reach the Delaware River. At the river, you will find the New Castle Ferry terminal. Take the ferry across the river to New Castle, which is a direct route to First State National Historical Park. The park is located at 211 Delaware St, New Castle, DE 19720, just a short walk from the ferry terminal.

From the Wilmington train station, take the SEPTA train towards New Jersey. You need to get off at the New Castle station. Once you arrive, exit the station and head south on South Street. Continue straight until you reach East 2nd Street, then turn left. Walk along East 2nd Street until you reach Delaware Street, where you will turn right. Continue on Delaware Street until you reach 211 Delaware St, New Castle, DE 19720, which is the entrance to First State National Historical Park.
