Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car, make your way to 30 Market St, New Castle, DE 19720. From Wilmington, take I-95 South and merge onto DE-1 South. Take Exit 156 for DE-273 toward New Castle. Continue on DE-273 and turn left onto US-13 South. Follow US-13 South and turn right onto Market St. The New Castle Visitor Center at The Arsenal will be on your right. There is limited street parking available, and be aware that parking may incur a fee depending on the time of day.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the DART First State bus route 33 from Wilmington. Board the bus at the Wilmington Transit Center and ride it towards New Castle. Disembark at the New Castle Town Hall stop, which is approximately a 5-minute walk from the Visitor Center. Walk south on 4th St, turn left onto Delaware St, and then a right onto Market St. The center will be on your left. Please check the DART First State website for the current fare, which is typically $2.00 for a one-way trip.

Bicycle
If you're biking, New Castle is accessible via the New Castle Greenway. Follow the trail that leads into the historic district. Once you reach the historic district, navigate to Market St, where the Visitor Center is located. There are bike racks available near the entrance, but be sure to bring a lock. No additional costs are incurred for biking to the center.

If you're already in the historic area of New Castle, walking to the Visitor Center is straightforward. Head towards Market St, which is lined with historic buildings and shops. The Visitor Center at The Arsenal is located at 30 Market St, just a short stroll from most attractions in the area. There is no cost to walk to the center.
