This low-lit hideaway pairs a serious craft beer line-up with a laid-back jazz program, from mellow midweek sessions to livelier weekend sets. City bus from central Aarhus
From Aarhus H (the main train station), use a city bus toward the city centre or harbour area and ride for about 5–10 minutes, then walk a few minutes to Nørreport. A single adult ticket within the city typically costs around 20–25 DKK and can be bought via ticket machines or mobile apps. Buses run frequently throughout the day and evening, but late-night services are less regular, so check the timetable if you plan to leave after midnight.
Walking from Aarhus Cathedral area
If you are already exploring the historic core near Aarhus Cathedral, plan on a short 5–10 minute walk on mostly flat, paved streets to reach Nørreport 8. The route is straightforward and suitable for most visitors, though cobblestones in parts of the old town may be uneven for wheelchairs or strollers. In the evening, central streets are generally well lit, making it comfortable to stroll between nearby bars and restaurants.
Taxi or ride-hail within Aarhus
From most central Aarhus hotels or the main station, a licensed taxi to Erlings typically takes 5–10 minutes depending on traffic. Fares for such short city rides often fall in the 80–140 DKK range, with higher prices late at night or on weekends. Taxis can usually drop you close to the door on Nørreport, but traffic restrictions during events in the city centre may mean a brief additional walk.
