The main Koncertsalen, the largest and most prestigious venue, seats 1,800 patrons in an arena-style configuration with seating positioned in front of, around, and behind the orchestra. The acoustic design was developed through close collaboration between Jean Nouvel and Yasuhisa Toyota, one of the world's leading acoustic consultants. As the home of the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, DR Koncerthuset serves as Denmark's premier venue for classical music and orchestral performance. Beyond regular concert programming, the hall has hosted major ceremonial events of national and international importance, including the ceremonial transfer of the EU presidency and celebrations marking significant royal milestones. Dedicated handicapped parking is available, with nine standard spaces and six larger drop-off spaces located approximately 75 metres from the main entrance. For visually impaired visitors, a guidance line connects the nearby metro station to the venue. The ticket office operates on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons, with telephone support available weekdays. Visitors with companion cards can arrange specialized assistance by contacting the venue directly.
