Guldborgsund Zoo & Botanisk Have, situated in the heart of Nykøbing Falster, Denmark, was a beloved attraction that seamlessly combined zoological exhibits with lush botanical gardens. Spanning several hectares, the zoo was home to over 80 different animal species, ranging from playful penguins and majestic hornbills to exotic reptiles and mammals. The botanical section boasted thousands of plant varieties, including a notable rhododendron garden with over 150 species, an Australian-themed area, and a recreated rainforest environment. However, as of October 20, 2023, Guldborgsund Zoo & Botanisk Have closed its doors in its current form, with plans for the site to be transformed into Pangea Park Falster, anticipated to open in 2025.
