From the station, it's a short walk north along Hovedgaden (main street) towards the coast. The entrance to Tisvilde Hegn (Skovporten) is located at the end of Hovedgaden, near the beach. A single fare from Hillerød to Tisvildeleje costs approximately 40 DKK.

If you are already in Tisvildeleje, access to Tisvilde Hegn is very straightforward. From the center of town, simply walk north along Hovedgaden (the main street) towards the coast. Hovedgaden leads directly to the Skovporten entrance of Tisvilde Hegn, located right by the beach. The walk from the train station or most points in Tisvildeleje to the forest entrance is generally less than 10 minutes.
