Ferry and Walking
Arriving onto Ærø by ferry from Svendborg or Faaborg, you’ll step off at Ærøskøbing harbor, a scenic arrival point marked by colorful fishing boats and the gentle clink of masts. From the harbor, it’s a relaxed 10-minute walk into the heart of town, past historic houses painted in pastel hues and the occasional cyclist. Landbogården is centrally situated among the town’s boutique shops and galleries, making it easy to spot as you explore. No taxis are typically required, and there is no admission fee—just plan for the cost of your meal or drinks. For those bringing a car, limited free parking can be found in municipal lots near the perimeter of the old town, with a short stroll through cobbled lanes to the venue.
Taxi
Taxis are available from anywhere in Ærøskøbing or the ferry landing for those with mobility needs or heavy luggage. The ride to Landbogården takes just a few minutes and usually costs between 60–90 DKK, depending on distance and time. Traffic is rarely an issue, but during festival weekends, advance booking is recommended.
Bicycle
Bicycles are a popular choice for getting around Ærø. Bike rentals are available at the harbor and throughout the island. From the ferry, it’s a gentle cycle of about 5 minutes through the old town lanes to reach Landbogården. Bicycle parking racks are provided nearby, making it a breeze for cyclists.
