Since April 2016, Vejle Vindmølle has served as the home of Vejle Kunstforening, an art society founded in 1932 by ophthalmologist and artist Henry Fabricius Jensen. The society relocated to the windmill after spending decades in various locations throughout Vejle, most recently at KUNSTBRÆNDERIET (The Art Distillery) in the historic Møhls Gaard building. The windmill now hosts rotating exhibitions featuring work by both established and emerging artists, with a particular emphasis on Danish contemporary art. The society maintains approximately 500 members and continues its founding mission to promote artistic expression and cultural engagement within the community.

The interior of Vejle Vindmølle has been thoughtfully adapted to accommodate art exhibitions while preserving the building's character. Visitors typically spend between one and two hours exploring the galleries, which showcase diverse artistic mediums and styles. The windmill's intimate scale creates an immersive experience where artwork is presented in close proximity to the viewer, encouraging contemplation and engagement. The building's original architectural elements—including its distinctive circular form and period details—provide an atmospheric backdrop that enhances rather than distracts from the art on display.
