Memorial Park for the Battle of Jutland / Mindeparken for Jyllandsslaget
A solemn and artfully designed memorial park on Denmark's west coast honoring the 8,645 sailors lost in the Battle of Jutland, one of World War I's largest naval engagements. Set within rugged North Sea dunes near Thyborøn, the park features 26 granite stones representing sunken warships and hundreds of symbolic human figures. The memorial opened in 2016 on the centennial of the 31 May–1 June 1916 battle and stands on neutral ground, respecting the fallen of all nations equally.
