Ferry
If arriving from Djibouti City, a ferry to Tadjourah is available. The ferry journey takes approximately 90 minutes. Check the updated schedule, as the ferry may be temporarily unavailable from mid-July to end of August. Tickets can be purchased at the port. Expect to pay around 700 DJF per person.

From Djibouti City, take the RN9 highway towards the north. The road trip to Tadjourah is approximately 2-3 hours. Car rentals are available in Djibouti City. Be prepared for varying road conditions. There are no tolls.
