Morne Bruce, overlooking Roseau, Dominica, is a historically significant hilltop offering panoramic views of the city and the Caribbean Sea. Once a British military garrison named after Captain James Bruce, it now features remnants of the original barracks, old cannons, and a large cross erected in the 1920s.

Walking
From the Roseau cruise port or city center, walk east towards the Dominica Botanical Gardens. Enter the gardens and locate Jack's Walk, a historic, moderately steep trail leading directly to Morne Bruce. The walk takes approximately 20-25 minutes. Note that Jack's Walk is quite steep in sections.
Public Transport
Local minibuses operate in Roseau and can take you closer to Morne Bruce. Look for a bus heading towards Morne Bruce. Bus stops are located at designated points throughout the city. The bus will drop you off near Morne Bruce Road, from where you may need to walk the final section to the viewpoint. The fare is usually around EC$1.50 to EC$10.25 depending on the route.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Roseau, particularly at the cruise port and in the city center. A taxi ride from the Roseau ferry terminal or city center to Morne Bruce typically costs between EC$15-20 (approximately US$6-US$7.50). Confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the viewpoint entrance.
