Middleham Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder nestled in the heart of Morne Trois Pitons National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As Dominica's tallest waterfall, it plunges roughly 200 feet (61 meters) into a cool, inviting pool below. The hike to Middleham Falls is a rewarding experience in itself, taking you through a vibrant rainforest filled with towering Gomyé and Chatannyé trees, Yanga Palms, and a variety of tropical plants. The trail, developed by the Forestry, Wildlife & Parks Division, is about 2.5 miles (4 km) round trip and typically takes 2-3 hours to complete. While considered moderately challenging, with some steep and potentially slippery sections, the well-maintained path includes both natural ground paths and man-made stairs. Along the way, you'll cross several small streams and may spot some of Dominica's unique wildlife, including the Sisserou Parrot, lizards, and crabs.
