Getting There

• Walking

  The final approach to Boeri Lake involves a 1.25-mile hike from Freshwater Lake. From the Freshwater Lake visitor center, follow the clearly marked trail. The hike is moderately challenging and takes approximately 1.5 hours. Be prepared for a rocky and sometimes slippery path. The trail passes hot and cold springs and offers views of Morne Macaque. Note that a park pass is required for non-residents to access Morne Trois Pitons National Park, which includes Boeri Lake. A day pass costs US$5.00, and a week pass costs US$12.00. Passes can be purchased at the visitor centers or the Forestry Division in Roseau.

  To reach the Boeri Lake trail, take a minibus from Roseau to Laudat. Minibuses depart from King George V Street near Astaphans Supermarket in Roseau. From Laudat, continue along Valley Road to Freshwater Lake, where the Boeri Lake trail begins. Minibus fares from Roseau to Laudat are typically around EC$3-5. From Freshwater Lake, follow the walking directions to the lake. Remember to purchase a park pass for US$5.00 (day pass) or US$12.00 (week pass) at the visitor center.

  To get to the Boeri Lake trailhead, you can take a taxi from Roseau to Freshwater Lake. The taxi ride takes approximately 51 minutes. From Freshwater Lake, follow the walking directions to the lake. A taxi from Roseau to the Freshwater Lake trailhead will cost approximately $8-10 USD.
