Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Roseau, walk to the bus terminal on the west side of the city near the waterfront. Look for a minibus with 'Mero' displayed on the front. The fare is around EC$1.50 to EC$10.25. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the bus stop in Mero; Mero Beach is a short walk down the road.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available at the airports and in Roseau and can be arranged all over the island. Negotiate a fare with the driver before getting in. A taxi from Roseau to Mero Beach should cost around EC$25-30 and take 20-25 minutes. Taxis from Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) to Roseau/Canefield/Newtown is EC $200 per person.

  • Driving

    From Roseau, follow the E.O. Leblanc Highway (also known as the West Coast Road) north. The drive to Mero Beach is approximately 20-25 minutes. Look for the Mero Beach sign and turn onto the access road. There is a free parking area near the beach entrance. Be mindful that you will need a driver's permit which costs US$12.
