    From Roseau, drive east on Valley Road for approximately 5 miles (8 km) to Trafalgar village. Turn onto Falls Road and follow it to the end. Papillote Wilderness Retreat is on your right, before the Trafalgar Falls visitor center. Parking is available at the retreat.

This family-owned retreat pioneered sustainable tourism long before it became a global movement. Situated at the head of the Roseau River Valley, Papillote is a short distance from Trafalgar Falls and about a 15-minute drive from Roseau. The retreat is set within four acres of botanical gardens with over 1,000 plant species, offering views of the Roseau Valley. The gardens feature flowering jade vines, ginger blossoms, aroids, begonias, bromeliads, ferns, orchids, and heliconias.
