    From the center of Soufriere, the guesthouse is a 5-10 minute walk. Ask any local for directions; most people in the village know the guesthouse. The walk involves a slight incline as you head out of the village towards the Soufriere Valley.

  • Public Transport

    From the ferry terminal in Roseau, public transportation in shared vans is available a short walk away. Look for the craft market, just across the street from Ruins Rock Cafe, and ask any local for directions to the Soufriere bus stop. The bus fare is EC$4 (about US$1.50). Please note that public transportation is not typically available after about 7 p.m., and service is infrequent on Sundays. From Douglas Charles Airport, take a taxi to Roseau and then take public transportation. The bus fare is EC$4 (about US$1.50).

    From Douglas Charles Airport (DOM), taxis are readily available. Depending on the driver, number of stops, and number of shared passengers, prices can range from EC$100 to EC$175 (US$37-US$65). A hired taxi from Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM) to Soufriere is EC $250 (about USD $100) per person. From Roseau, a taxi to Soufriere will cost approximately EC$8-EC$13 (US$3-US$5).

Located in the idyllic Soufriere Valley, just outside the friendly fishing village , the guesthouse is surrounded by lush forest and a short walk from natural hot and cold springs. It is an amazing base from which to explore the surrounding villages, hiking trails, the Caribbean Sea, and the rest of Dominica. Each room has a specific theme and is decorated with locally acquired art and memorabilia. Guests can enjoy a well-equipped communal kitchen, solar water heaters, yoga mats and props, hammocks, and fast WiFi. Nearby activities include hiking Segment One of the Waitukubuli National Trail, scuba diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking, and relaxing at Bubble Beach Spa. The Soufriere Guesthouse in Dominica was actually not a guest house before. The place belonged to a local from the community, who used to run it as a restaurant. However, a few years ago, he decided to sell his property because he wanted to focus on something else. Weston Moses, a Colorado native who fell in love with the Caribbean following his work with the Peace Corps and other international humanitarian organizations, got attracted to the place: Soufriere had piqued his attention.
