If you're driving from Barahona, start on Av. 27 de Febrero heading northeast. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Carretera a Mata de Maíz (a sign will indicate the direction). Turn left onto Carr. a Mata De Maíz and follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local landmarks to help confirm you're heading in the right direction, such as the nearby town of Paraíso. Mata de Rulo will be on your right; look for signs indicating the location.

To reach Mata de Rulo using public transportation, start by heading to the main bus terminal in Barahona. Look for a 'carro público' (shared taxi) that is going towards Paraíso or any vehicle that mentions Mata de Maíz. The fare should be around 50-100 Dominican Pesos.
