Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Higüey, head northeast on Avenida Juan Pablo II toward Calle Francisco Alberto Caamaño. Continue on this road for about 15 km until you reach the intersection with Carretera El Salado. Turn left onto Carretera El Salado and continue for about 10 km. Look for signs directing you to Montaña Redonda. The final stretch is a scenic dirt road leading directly to the entrance of Montaña Redonda. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Montaña Redonda using public transportation, take a guagua (shared minibus) from Higüey to Miches. The guaguas leave from the main bus terminal in Higüey and the fare is approximately 100 DOP. Once you arrive in Miches, you will need to hire a local motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi to take you to Montaña Redonda, which is about a 20-minute ride. Expect to pay around 300-500 DOP for the motoconcho or taxi ride.
