If you are driving from the center of Las Terrenas, head west on Avenida Juan Pablo Duarte towards Calle 27 de Febrero. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carretera El Limón. Turn left onto Carretera El Limón and follow the signs towards El Limón. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will arrive at a fork in the road. Take the right fork, continuing on the dirt road for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs that indicate Playa Las Canas, which is located at the coordinates 19.310795, -69.39503429999999. There is typically no parking fee, but ensure your vehicle can handle unpaved roads.

To reach Playa Las Canas using public transportation, take a 'carrito' (shared taxi) from the main taxi stand in Las Terrenas. Look for one heading towards El Limón. The ride will cost around 100-150 DOP per person and take approximately 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the fork in the road near Playa Las Canas. From there, you will have to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along the dirt road to reach the beach. Make sure to confirm with the driver if they can take you directly to the beach, as some may drop you off at the nearest point.
