Walking
From the center of Puerto Plata, head west on Calle 12 de Julio towards the Malecón. Continue to walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida General Gregorio Luperón. Turn right onto Avenida General Gregorio Luperón and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and local eateries along the way. Once you reach the beach area, follow the signs to Cofresí Beach, which will be on your left. The beach is easily accessible and you should see the entrance clearly marked.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in the center of Puerto Plata. Start by biking west along Calle 12 de Julio until you reach the Malecón. From there, turn right onto Avenida General Gregorio Luperón. Continue biking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will enjoy the view of the ocean on your right side. Once you see the entrance to Cofresí Beach on your left, park your bike in the designated area.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Cofresí Beach by public transport, find a local bus heading towards Cofresí. These buses usually depart from the main bus terminal located near the central park of Puerto Plata. Board the bus and let the driver know you're going to Cofresí Beach. The ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Get off when you see the signs for the beach, which will be on your right side. Follow the path to the beach entrance.
