Walking

If you're starting from the central area of Puerto Plata, head towards the main street, Avenida 27 de Febrero. From there, walk north until you reach the junction with Calle Beller. Turn left onto Calle Beller, and continue walking straight. Independence Park will be on your right-hand side. It’s a short walk of approximately 15 minutes.

Bicycle

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in the city center. Start on Avenida 27 de Febrero and head north. When you reach Calle Beller, turn left and continue cycling straight until you reach Independence Park on your right. The ride should take about 10 minutes, depending on your speed.

Local Bus

You can catch a local bus heading towards the city center from various points in Puerto Plata. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the stop closest to Calle Beller. Once you get off, walk towards Calle Beller, turn left, and continue until you see Independence Park on your right. The bus ride usually takes around 20 minutes.

Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a local taxi. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to 'Parque Independencia' (Independence Park). The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the park. The drive should take about 10 minutes from most parts of Puerto Plata.
