If you are in the center of Puerto Plata, start at Plaza Independencia, which is a central square. From there, head southeast on Calle 12 de Julio. Continue straight until you reach Avenida General Gregorio Luperón. Turn left and walk until you see Parque San Felipe on your right. The entrance to Fortaleza de San Felipe is located within the park.
