If you're driving from Punta Cana-Bávaro, start by heading northwest on Av. Estados Unidos toward Av. Alemania. Continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Av. Barceló. Turn right onto Av. Barceló and follow it for approximately 4 kilometers. Look for signs for Macao Beach (Playa de Macao) on your left. Turn left onto the road leading to the beach. There is free parking available near the entrance.

To reach Playa de Macao via public bus, first, locate a 'carro publico' (shared taxi) or a local bus that travels along the Bávaro to Higuey route. You can catch these from major hotels or bus stops in the Bávaro area. Request to be dropped off at the intersection of Av. Barceló and the road that leads to Macao Beach. From there, you'll need to walk approximately 1 kilometer down the road to reach the beach. Be prepared to pay around 50-100 Dominican Pesos for the bus fare.

If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Punta Cana-Bávaro. Simply ask the driver to take you to Playa de Macao.
