Car
If you're driving, start from the Punta Cana International Airport, head northeast on Route 3. Continue for approximately 17 km until you reach the intersection with Route 105. Turn left onto Route 105 and follow the signs for Macao Beach. After about 6 km, keep an eye out for Playa Macao on your right. Look for the QFF7+QRQ address as your destination point.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a local bus or 'carrito' from Bávaro. Head to the nearest bus stop and look for the bus heading towards Higuey or Macao Beach. The fare is usually around 50 pesos. The bus will take you along Route 3. Get off at the Macao Beach stop. From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) towards the beach; follow the signs or ask locals for Playa Macao.
