Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Samaná. Head southeast on Avenida Juan Pablo Duarte towards Calle 27 de Febrero. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the main road (Carretera Samaná - Las Terrenas). Turn right onto Carretera Samaná - Las Terrenas (DR-5) and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Punta Balandra (you may see signs for Playa Balandra). After about 8 kilometers on this road, you will see a small dirt road leading towards the beach area. Park your car at the designated area; be aware that some places may charge a small fee for parking (usually around 100-200 DOP). From the parking area, it’s a short walk to Punta Balandra.

Public Transportation
If you choose to travel by public transportation, you can take a 'guagua' (local minibus) from the main bus station in Samaná. Look for a guagua heading to Las Terrenas. The fare is typically around 50-100 DOP. Inform the driver you want to get off at Punta Balandra or the nearest stop. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, you will need to walk a short distance to reach the beach area. Keep in mind that the guagua service may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance.
