Car
If you're traveling by car from anywhere in San Juan Valley, head southeast on the main highway (Carretera Sánchez). Continue for about 1.5 hours until you reach Santo Domingo. Once you arrive in Santo Domingo, follow signs for Zona Colonial. Enter Avenida George Washington and continue until you reach the Plaza de España. The Alcázar de Colón is located at C. La Atarazana 2, right in the plaza. Parking is generally available nearby, but it may incur a cost of around 100-200 DOP (Dominican Pesos) for a few hours.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a local bus (carro público) from San Juan Valley to Santo Domingo. The fare should be about 100-150 DOP. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Santo Domingo (Terminal de Autobuses), you can either take a taxi or a local bus heading towards Zona Colonial. Taxis may charge around 300 DOP to reach Plaza de España. If you opt for a local bus, it will cost approximately 50 DOP. Once in Zona Colonial, walk to Plaza de España where Alcázar de Colón is located at C. La Atarazana 2.
