From the center of Santiago, head to the main bus terminal (Parada de Autobuses) located on Calle 30 de Marzo. Look for a bus heading to Santo Domingo. Buses are frequent and typically cost around 100-150 DOP. Once you arrive at the Santo Domingo bus terminal, exit and look for the nearest local bus or a shared taxi (carro público) that goes towards the Botanical Garden (Jardín Botánico). Inform the driver you are going to 'Jardín Botánico' and they will drop you off nearby.

Motorcycle Taxi (Motoconcho)
Find a motorcycle taxi near major intersections or in the city center. Negotiate the fare to 'Jardín Botánico' before starting your ride. The journey should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure the driver knows the way to the Japanese Garden. It's advisable to confirm that the driver has a helmet for safety.

If you are close to the Botanical Garden area, walk towards Avenida de los Próceres. Once on Avenida de los Próceres, head south until you reach the intersection with Calle Estrella Sadhalá. Turn right onto Calle Estrella Sadhalá, and continue for about 1 kilometer until you see signs directing you to the Jardín Botánico. The entrance will be on your left. Make sure to keep an eye out for directional signs along the way.
