Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're in the Colonial Zone, start at Parque Colón. Head south towards Calle Arzobispo Meriño and walk until you reach the intersection with Calle Palo Hincado. Turn left onto Calle Palo Hincado. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Puerta del Conde on your right. Look for the large stone structure with historical significance.

  • Walking

    From the Malecon, walk towards Calle José María Serra de Castro until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Independencia. Turn left and continue straight. When you reach Calle Palo Hincado, turn right. Puerta del Conde will be a short walk ahead on your left.

  • Public Transport (Guagua)

    If you are near the Mercado Modelo, you can take a guagua (local minibus) heading towards Ciudad Nueva. Board the guagua and ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Puerta del Conde. After disembarking, walk down Calle Palo Hincado for a few minutes, and you will see Puerta del Conde.

    If you are staying at a hotel near Avenida Winston Churchill, walk to the nearest Metro station (Estación Juan Pablo Duarte).
