Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Quito, you will need to take the Pan-American Highway (E35) heading south. Follow the road through the towns of Ambato and Baños. After Baños, continue on the E30 road until you reach Puyo. From Puyo, take the E45 road towards Macas and then take the road to Yuturi, following signs towards the lodge. The final stretch will require navigating through unpaved roads, so be prepared for rough terrain. Always check local road conditions before you travel.

• Public Transportation

  From Quito, you can take a bus from the Quitumbe bus terminal to Puyo. The bus ride takes approximately 6-8 hours and costs around $10-15. Once in Puyo, you will need to catch another bus that goes to Yuturi. The bus from Puyo to Yuturi may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The ride should take about 2-3 hours and costs around $5. Upon arriving in Yuturi, you may need to hire a local taxi or guide to take you to Eden Amazon Lodge, which is located about 15 minutes away.

• Taxi or Local Guide

  Once you arrive in Yuturi, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a local guide to take you to Eden Amazon Lodge (FW3X+544). The cost for this short trip is usually around $10-20 depending on negotiation and the condition of the roads. It’s advisable to pre-arrange this transportation if possible, or ask for recommendations from your bus driver or locals.
