Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Quito, take the Pan-American Highway (E28) heading east. Continue for about 1.5 hours until you reach the town of Papallacta. Turn onto the road to Papallacta and follow the signs for approximately 10 km until you reach Guango Lodge. The lodge is located just outside of Papallacta, making it a scenic drive. Ensure you have a GPS or map app handy to guide you accurately.

Public Transport

To reach Guango Lodge by public transportation from Quito, head to the Quitumbe Bus Terminal. Look for buses heading to Papallacta, which depart regularly. The journey takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Papallacta terminal, you can take a taxi to Guango Lodge, which is about 10 km away. Taxi fares should be negotiated beforehand, and expect to pay around $10-$15 for the ride.

Taxi
