Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the Amazon region, take the E45 highway towards Quito. The journey is approximately 5 to 6 hours depending on traffic and weather conditions. Upon reaching Quito, follow the signs for 'Mitad del Mundo' (Middle of the World) which will lead you to Av. Manuel Córdova Galarza. Look for the entrance to Middle of the World City on your left. Parking is available on-site, and it may incur a small fee.

    From various towns in the Amazon, take a bus to Quito. The main bus terminals in the Amazon region include Tena or Puyo. Once you arrive at the Quitumbe bus terminal in Quito, you can catch a local bus (Bus #28 or any bus heading to 'Mitad del Mundo') which will take you directly to Middle of the World City.
