If you are driving from the center of the Amazon region, head towards the nearest major road that connects to the Pan-American Highway. Follow the signs for Quito. Once you reach the outskirts of Quito, continue on the E28 road. Keep an eye out for the exit towards Autopista General Rumiñahui. Take this exit and continue until you reach Isla Espanola. The Latin Trails office will be located at Isla Espanola 144, San Rafael, Conocoto. Make sure to have a GPS or a map app handy for precise navigation.

From the Amazon region, first take a bus from your current location to Quito. Buses regularly depart from major towns in the Amazon such as Tena or Puyo, and the journey can take approximately 5-8 hours depending on your departure point. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Quito (Terminal Terrestre Quitumbe), you can take a taxi or local bus heading to Conocoto. Make sure to ask for the specific route that passes near Autopista General Rumiñahui and Isla Espanola. The taxi fare should be around $10-15.
