Car
If you are driving from the city of Otavalo, head southeast on Calle Sucre toward Calle Bolívar for about 1 kilometer. Then, turn left onto the E28 road and continue for about 4 kilometers. You'll see signs for Peguche Waterfall as you enter the area. Keep an eye out for the small parking area on your right side just before you reach the waterfall entrance. Parking is typically free, but it’s good to arrive early to secure a spot.
Public Transportation
From Otavalo, you can catch a bus to Peguche. Head to the main bus terminal in Otavalo and look for buses heading towards Peguche or San Pablo. The bus ride will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes and costs around $0.50. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Peguche Waterfall. After getting off, follow the signs leading you to the entrance of the waterfall, which is a short walk away.
Walking
If you are already in the Peguche area, you can simply walk to the waterfall. From the main entrance, it’s about a 15-minute walk along a well-marked trail. The path is relatively easy to navigate, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding landscape along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
