Car
If you are driving from Cuenca, head south on the Pan-American Highway (E35). After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards El Cajas National Park (E582). Continue on E582 for about 12 km until you reach the entrance of the park. Once inside the park, follow the signs towards Laguna Toreadora, which is about a 15-minute drive along the park's scenic roads. Note that there is an entry fee for the park, which is around $2 per person.

From Cuenca, take a bus from the Terminal Terrestre to El Cajas National Park. Buses leave regularly and the fare is approximately $2.50. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can either hike the remaining 5 km to Laguna Toreadora (allow about 1.5-2 hours for the hike) or look for local taxis or shuttle services that may be available at the park entrance for a fee of around $10-15.
