Organic Coffee Farm Tour

Excellent coffee tour experience!

I have been following "Life in Loja" closely for several years and really appreciate the variety of tours and customized guided experiences they offer. Having lived in Loja province myself for two and a half years, I finally booked the Organic Coffee Tour—something I had long planned to do. It truly exceeded my expectations; I wish it could have lasted much longer. We were guided through the beautiful, picturesque organic plantation high up in San Pedro by Jonathan and the coffee plantation owner—a very friendly and knowledgeable man; it felt like stepping into another world. It was pure nature, packed with fascinating information, and no question went unanswered. We learned a great deal about organic coffee cultivation, natural fertilization, drying, roasting, and the differences in coffee quality, and at the end, we even got to taste some excellent brewed coffee. Everything was incredibly interesting! We were deeply impressed by Jonathan's vast knowledge of coffee and everything related to it. That is what made this tour so special. I wrapped up the tour with the two other participants over a delicious lunch in Vilcabamba, accompanied by inspiring conversation. Jonathan is a warm-hearted, funny, and very attentive person with a wealth of knowledge—the kind of person who makes tour participants feel completely at ease. I have already planned further customized tours with him and am really looking forward to them.
